My Life as it is…

All of us have stories to tell about the kind of teachers and professors we encounter at school and college. I also had my share of jokers! Let me share my bloopers with you.

When I was in 11th grade, we had a physics teacher, who was not very proficient in English. Once, during class, he caught me smirking with friends ! He asked me to stand up and answer some questions ! He was teaching ‘oscillations and waves’ that day. Now, this guy had a pathetic pronunciation of words, which made him sound funnier ! This was the conversation:

Teacher: What is a wave ?( he pronounced it as BABE!!)

Me: “hanging my head down, smirking hard”

Teacher: I asked you a question !! What is a wave??(’babe’)

Me: Sir, this question is too easy !

Teacher: You think you know everything ?? Let me ask you some more !

Teacher: What is the crest and trough of a wave ? (BABE!)

Now, guys this was the limit ! The whole class burst into laughter, and the poor guy was looking at us flabbergasted !

Teacher(angrily): You are so big, and you dont know what is the crest and trough of a ‘babe’ is ???

We all kept laughing our heads off..and I still didn’t have any answers ! I was too busy laughing !

When I moved to my engineering college, I encountered so many jokers here, that I really have to share them with you ! They were all stalwarts in their own right..bumbled everyday and really kept us students entertained !

Some of the professors, and their claim to fame are discussed below:

Professor Mrs Spit-a-lot :

This lady had one big problem. She spoke less, spitted more ! We all dreaded sitting on the first bench..as we were afraid of the shower ! The poor guys stuck on the front bench, used to be lucky enough to witness her spitting talents ! Once my classmate even opened his umbrella in the middle of the lecture, which really looked very funny ! haha.

Professor Self- conscious:

This guy was very nervy ! If he would catch someone laughing, he would think that the guy was laughing on him ! He thought, that everybody in the college was talking about him and making fun of him ! A true joker !

Professor Absent !

This guy hardly took any classes. He was always absent from class himself, but expected us to attend all lectures ! He used to e-mail us monthly assignments- -truly tech savvy!

Professor Commander:

He was our head of the department, and was a retired navy commander ! He was a strict disciplinarian, and made himself clear ! One of his most famous lines are :

“All those students who do not adhere to the rules and regulations of the department of electronics and telecommunication, will have to bear the burden of severe financial liabilities in the form of random fines and penalties“…GIVE ME A BREAK !!!!!

Professor Rules:

This guy was crack ! He used to impose so many stupid rules on us, that we had stopped taking him seriously. He would make us fill feedback forms, and forms relating to our attendance and stuff ! He would make erring students write looong applications before entertaining them further ! One of his famous lines is :

” You write an application, get it validated by the exam cell, verified by the HoD and signed by the principal..only then I will let you come for my lecture“

Professor Einstein:

This guy thought he was some big scientist, doing some valuable research ! He had this theory of ’solid transmission’ in which human beings would be beamed from place to place at the speed of light…just like shown in STAR TREK ! haha ! poor guy ! He was mad!

I can go on and on with this, but I am being kind to my readers ! These crack-a-doodle doo professors must have drained my valuable readers already ! haha !
